   Subject: Doctors changing opinions
   
   Ladies and Gents,
   I heard about a doctor changing his diagnosis under pressure from UNUM
   today.  If you only do one thing I ask of you, please talk to your
   doctors and share with them the information I'm sending you.  These
   doctors do not realize they are being used when UNUM calls them on the
   phone (The best thing is to advise your doctors not to talk to UNUM on
   the phone and to read everything UNUM writes very, very carefully and
   immediately refute in writing any "errors").  UNUM's employees are
   master manipulators.  A busy doctor is not thinking about UNUM's
   ulterior motives and that they couldn't care less if you died, as long
   as they didn't have to pay you.  He/She hears them saying "It would
   really be in your patient's best interest if we didn't encourage illness
   behavior.  Are you sure they are so disabled they can't work?"  You are
   not there to defend yourself when these conversations occur.
   
   Please forwarn your doctors. Share the information I've sent you about
   how many times UNUM has been sued and the things they are doing to
   people.  Don't wait until they put words in your doctor's mouth and you
   are terminated.  Then you will be swimming upstream.
