Subject: REPORTERS - Provident lawsuit starting MONDAY

Once again Please read Keith's story on

         http://www.serve.com/kbd/Provident/ins.html

We would really like some reporters to cover this circus. Keith is a
stockbroker with a severe case of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He has a
policy like mine that clearly states if he can't make 80% of his former
salary they MUST pay his claim. This is what insurance companies are
stooping to now. Subpoenaing your phone records so they can claim that
ONE DAY day you were on the computer for 6 hours, therefore that PROVES
you can resume your former job and make at least 80% of your salary.

Those of us with this illness (and any idiot) know that 1) in the
comfort of your home when you get tired you go and lie down, 2) typing
on a computer to friends is not the same as juggling the portfolios of
multiple stockbrokers clients and 3) what a person can do in a single
day or even a single week IS NOT AN INDICATION OF THE ABILITY TO HOLD
DOWN A REGULAR JOB 48 weeks a year!

But having your phone records subpoenaed can be a little intimidating!

Even though Keith has a lawyer who's working on contingency, that just
covers the lawyer's fees. Keith has still had to pay over $20,000 to
get this case through the legal system for over a year and a half and
into a courtroom. AND IT AIN'T OVER YET.

I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD, KEITH. WE ARE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU
AND THANKING YOU FOR HANGING IN THERE AGAINST INCREDIBLE PRESSURES,
   HARASSMENT AND INTIMIDATION.
